Summer Sapling - Size UK P/US 8

This Summer Sapling is handcrafted from sterling and fine silver and features a high-grade and beautiful fossilised sand dollar. This fossil is also known as a 'sea biscuit' and it's markings are one of a kind.

The stone has been set in plain bezel wire and then soldered on to a layer of thick sterling silver sheet, the edge of which has been sanded back. The reverse of the backplate has been imprinted with a fern pattern.

The ring shank has been handmade using a sterling silver twig that has been cast from the real thing.

This piece has been given a patina to add depth. Please keep away from water to ensure the patina lasts a long time.
